Hiring is broad and growing. Role areas include Bio Research, AI and Infrastructure, 3D and Game Development, Web and Product Engineering, Creative and 3D Art, Product and Design, Growth and Community, MCAT Tutoring and Education, Operations, Legal/IP/Compliance, and Research Fellowships. Internships and part-time roles are explicitly designed for current students with conversion paths, while full-time roles are available for recent graduates and experienced professionals.
Most roles follow this flow: application -> 30-minute Talent screen within 5 business days -> technical or domain plus culture interview(s) -> Founder or leadership conversation for senior roles -> offer discussion including equity and total compensation. The entire process typically takes 3-8 weeks depending on role seniority and candidate availability. We move quickly for exceptional fits. For partner-school students, candidates may also be fast-tracked or nominated directly through the portal Talent Matcher.
Yes for exceptional talent, especially from Strategic partner institutions. Sponsorship may include H-1B, O-1, TN, or other applicable pathways. The company also builds global, remote-first teams with time-zone-friendly async collaboration and optional Michigan hub gatherings. Many roles in web, 3D, research support, content, and some AI infrastructure areas are remote-friendly. Visa needs can be mentioned during the application process and are handled confidentially.
Yes - we sponsor visas for senior and critical roles where the candidate demonstrates exceptional alignment with our mission. Equity grants typically range from 0.05% to 0.8% with standard 4-year vesting and a 1-year cliff. Total compensation is highly competitive and includes base salary, equity, health benefits, a learning stipend, and in many cases home office or co-working support.
Talent Matcher and Career Pathfinder use a hybrid approach: embedding similarity for skills, projects, and interests; LLM-as-judge for qualitative fit such as values alignment, growth potential, and emotional resilience indicators; and custom weights per role. Explainability is central: each recommendation shows top contributing factors and gaps. The model improves from placement outcomes and feedback with consent. Final hiring decisions remain human and values-driven.
